Pam Horack, CFP®

Founder, Your Financial Mom

Pam Horack makes financial planning simple. After graduating college with her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, she began her full-time financial career.

For over 20 years, she has worked in a variety of roles including customer relations, management and training and development roles in several banking, brokerage and mortgage companies.

Pam’s focus on financial education has helped her develop a style of taking complex financial ideas and making them simple to understand and implement.

At Pathfinder Planning, she developed her trademark “Mom” style of dishing out financial advice in a practical but caring way. She has been quoted in a variety of online and print publications including Yahoo! Finance, Parents Magazine, CNBC Online, Investment News and the Charlotte Observer.

With her downtime, Pam spends time reading and crafting - currently lots of cross stitch. She enjoys hiking and camping with her family and searching for items to pin to her Pinterest board titled "The Mountain House I Don't Have Yet."

Karina Moretz, CFP®, ChFC®

Lead Advisor

Karina Moretz is Pathfinder Planning’s Lead Advisor.

Karina is a lifelong learner who loves to find ways to give back and help others. As a Navy spouse during her husband’s career, Karina found herself continuously reworking the family budget with every new duty station. In 2016, she began volunteering with the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society and fell in love with the personal finance field.

Karina started working on her bachelor’s in Accounting Finance from Southern New Hampshire University, completing it while living overseas in Japan. She began working for Pathfinder Planning in 2022 and went on to earn her Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) certification from The American College of Financial Services in 2023. During this time her husband retired from the Navy and they moved their family half way across the US to San Antonio. In 2025 she earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNING® certification.

When she’s not spending time with her husband or children, Karina enjoys drinking a ridiculous amount of coffee and reading. Karina also enjoys gardening and grows flowers and tomatoes every year.
